Oppo has been gaining momentum with its foldable phones in recent years. The previous model, the Find N5, impressed critics and consumers alike when it launched, earning recognition for being one of the thinnest foldable phones available. Now, the next generation appears to be nearly ready: a reliable tipster indicates the Oppo Find N6 is scheduled to launch on March 17.
This launch date is expected to apply to both China and select global markets. The Find N6 is reportedly headed to parts of Southeast Asia and Europe, but it looks like India will be left out of the initial rollout—consistent with the Find N5, which also skipped the Indian market.
One of the most talked-about improvements for the Find N6 centers on the fold and display crease. Zhou Yibao, who oversees Oppo’s Find product line, shared a short preview on social media highlighting the company’s focus on reducing the visible gap that appears at the hinge on many foldable devices. He compared current foldable displays to two beds pushed together, where the seam in the middle interferes with the overall experience. Oppo claims to have made substantial progress in minimizing that crease, and early reports suggest the Find N6 could feature the shallowest fold crease of any commercially available foldable to date. That is a bold assertion, especially given other manufacturers have also demonstrated advanced crease-reduction technologies recently.
What we know about the specs so far
Under the hood, the Find N6 is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which would position it among the first foldable devices to adopt Qualcomm’s latest flagship platform. The inner display is said to measure approximately 8.12 inches and use a 2K LTPO OLED panel, offering adaptive refresh rate capabilities and improved power efficiency. The external cover display reportedly measures around 6.62 inches, and both panels are expected to support up to a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and animation performance.
Camera hardware appears ambitious. Leaks point to a high-resolution 200MP main sensor paired with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens and a 50MP ultrawide camera. In addition, there is mention of a smaller multispectral sensor (around 2MP) that could be used for advanced imaging or color data, plus 20MP selfie cameras for both the inner and outer displays. If these specifications hold true, the Find N6 would deliver a versatile camera system aimed at both high-resolution photography and long-range zoom capability.
Battery capacity is also expected to be generous. Certification information suggests the device will house roughly a 6,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging, which should provide substantial day-long endurance even under heavy use. On the software and features side, the Find N6 is rumored to include AI-enhanced stylus support and, for the Chinese model, satellite connectivity for emergency messaging or connectivity in remote areas.
Design and configuration details indicate the phone will be offered in Titanium and Orange finishes, with memory and storage options that could go up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The device is expected to weigh in the neighborhood of 225 grams and ship with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, delivering Oppo’s latest software experience and optimizations for foldable form factors.
With a March 17 unveiling on the horizon, more official details should arrive soon, including full pricing, market availability, and hands-on impressions that will confirm how well Oppo’s crease-reduction and other improvements perform in real-world use.
