Samsung has introduced the Samsung Galaxy Card for customers in the United States, a new consumer credit option developed in partnership with Barclays US Consumer Bank and issued on the Visa network. The card is designed to provide flexible financing options and straightforward cash-back rewards, with incentives specifically aimed at people who buy Samsung products and use Samsung services.
The Galaxy Card is offered in both virtual and physical formats and uses a simple, tiered cash-back system. Cardholders receive 5% cash back on eligible purchases made directly from Samsung, 3% back when paying via Samsung Wallet, 2% back on streaming subscription services such as Netflix, Disney+, and Spotify, and 1% back on all other purchases. In addition to these regular rewards, members get a 20% discount on Samsung VIP Advantage membership fees and earn 5% back on those membership fees as well. These features are intended to reward frequent Samsung customers and anyone who regularly uses digital services linked to their Samsung account.
“Partnering with Samsung is a strong example of Barclays partner-first strategy and the innovation we’re bringing to the market with some of the world’s most recognized brand. Together, we’re creating seamless, rewarding digital banking capabilities and products that meet customers where they are — in their Samsung Wallet — and fit naturally into how they live, shop, and connect.”

Security and integration are central elements of the Galaxy Card experience. The card is built to be used natively within Samsung Wallet and ties into Samsung’s Knox security platform, which adds device-level protections and fraud mitigation features. This native integration is intended to make card management, payments, and reward tracking seamless for users who already rely on Samsung’s ecosystem.
Samsung has opened early access applications online immediately, with the general public able to apply beginning July 22, 2026. To encourage early adoption, applicants who sign up online or at any U.S. Samsung retail location may qualify for a limited-time welcome offer: a $200 statement credit after spending $2,000 within the first 90 days of account opening. Terms and eligibility for this offer, as with any credit product, depend on credit approval and other factors evaluated by the issuer.
The Galaxy Card name itself is not entirely new. Samsung previously filed a trademark for the “Galaxy Card” name years ago, a move that likely protected the brand for potential future financial products. That earlier filing appears to have been a preparatory step, and the current launch brings the name into active use with a concrete product offering that aligns with Samsung’s broader push into services and in-house finance options.
For consumers considering the Galaxy Card, the combination of competitive cash-back rates for Samsung purchases, integration with Samsung Wallet, and Knox security may be attractive, particularly for loyal Samsung customers. The tiered rewards structure rewards purchases within the Samsung ecosystem while still providing a baseline cash-back rate for everyday spending. Prospective applicants should review the full terms and conditions provided by the issuer to understand interest rates, fees, reward redemption rules, and eligibility requirements before applying.
