Korean tech giant Samsung has long invested in both gaming hardware and software, building a portfolio of products aimed at players of all levels. Recently, the company announced a high-profile collaboration with Activision: Samsung will serve as the official display and audio partner for the upcoming AAA first-person shooter, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The partnership promises a suite of connected features and optimizations designed to highlight Samsung’s display and audio technologies when experiencing the game.
As part of the partnership, Samsung will position its TVs, monitors, soundbars, and Wi‑Fi speakers as primary devices for playing Modern Warfare 4. The game will include HDR10+ GAMING support to improve color accuracy and contrast on compatible Samsung displays, delivering deeper blacks, brighter highlights, and more nuanced midtones. In addition, Modern Warfare 4 will offer native compatibility with a 32:9 super ultrawide aspect ratio, a feature tailored specifically for Samsung’s Odyssey G9 monitors. This ultrawide support aims to expand the player’s field of view and enhance situational awareness in competitive multiplayer scenarios.

Samsung Gaming Hub users will also have direct access to live streaming for Call of Duty: NEXT, the reveal event for Modern Warfare 4, which is scheduled for August 21 at 9:00 AM PST. Streaming the event directly from the Gaming Hub’s main dashboard allows Samsung owners to view announcements and gameplay previews without leaving their TV or connected display environment, making it convenient for players to stay informed about new features and release plans.
“We are pleased to be the official TV, monitor, soundbar and Wi‑Fi speaker partner for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, bringing players a more immersive experience through Samsung’s premium display and audio technologies. We will continue working with leading developers to strengthen gaming experiences across our display portfolio.”
The partnership also includes an opportunity for Samsung customers to obtain Early Access Beta codes for Modern Warfare 4. According to the announcement, selected players who sign up through the Samsung Promotion app will receive Early Access Beta codes that allow play from August 21 through August 25, ahead of the Open Beta, which is set to begin on August 28. This early window offers Samsung users a chance to test gameplay, experience Samsung-specific enhancements, and provide feedback before the broader public beta opens.
In addition to the digital promotions and beta access, Samsung will provide a hands-on preview of Modern Warfare 4 at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany. Attendees visiting the Samsung booth between August 26 and August 30 will be among the first to play the title on Samsung Odyssey monitors. Showcasing the game at a major trade event such as Gamescom highlights Samsung’s strategy of demonstrating how its hardware can elevate new game releases through optimized display settings and premium audio experiences.
From a broader perspective, this collaboration reinforces Samsung’s ongoing commitment to the gaming market. By working directly with a major publisher and tailoring display features such as HDR10+ GAMING and ultrawide aspect ratios, Samsung is positioning its products as part of a holistic gaming ecosystem—one that includes displays, audio peripherals, and software integration. For players who prioritize visual fidelity and immersive sound, the partnership offers targeted optimizations that may influence purchase and setup decisions when building a gaming station.
For gamers interested in early access or in seeing the game demonstrated on Samsung hardware, checking the Samsung Promotion app and the Gaming Hub around the announced dates will provide the most direct avenues for participation. The combination of advanced display technologies and dedicated promotion through Samsung’s platform aims to give players a richer, more integrated experience when Modern Warfare 4 launches.
