Following last year’s well-received Amazfit Balance 2, Zepp Health has introduced its newest wearable series: the Amazfit Balance 3 and the more premium Amazfit Balance Ultra. These two models form the hardware backbone for Zepp Health’s updated Hybrid Training System, which connects detailed performance tracking with adaptive, data-driven guidance in the Zepp app.
The Amazfit Balance Ultra targets athletes and users with demanding lifestyles by using a Grade 5 titanium construction for enhanced strength and corrosion resistance, making it better suited to more extreme scenarios and prolonged daily wear. The Balance 3, on the other hand, is aimed at everyday fitness enthusiasts and comes in both stainless steel and titanium finish options to balance style, weight, and durability.
Both models share a 1.5-inch AMOLED display protected by sapphire glass and can reach very high peak brightness—advertised at up to 3,000 nits—making them usable in bright outdoor conditions. The watches include dual-band GPS with six-satellite positioning for improved location accuracy, offline map support for navigation without a phone, and a broad suite of health monitoring features: continuous heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), sleep tracking, and SpO2 (blood oxygen) monitoring.
On-device smart features are also present: automatic recognition for 25 strength training exercises simplifies logging resistance workouts, while Bluetooth calling and Zepp Flow voice control make hands-free interaction easy. These mix convenience and practical training support so users can focus on performance instead of device management.
Battery life remains a strength of the Balance series. According to Zepp Health’s specifications, the Balance 3 can last up to 21 days on a single charge under typical use, while the Balance Ultra extends that to as much as 30 days. Real-world endurance will vary with GPS use, display brightness, voice features, and call activity, but the two models are clearly designed for multi-day, low-hassle use between charges.
A central element of the launch is the Zepp App’s new Hybrid Training System, which introduces HybridCharge Energy Intelligence. This system consolidates three core metrics—BioCharge (recovery state), LifeLoad (daily lifestyle stress), and Training Load (exercise strain)—into a single view of physical capacity. The combined insight aims to help users plan workouts that match current energy and recovery levels, reducing the risk of overtraining while optimizing progress.
Alongside HybridCharge, the Zepp App provides structured Hybrid Training Plans and new analytics such as Weekly Focus and Training Balance, giving users a clearer picture of where to prioritize fitness efforts and how to distribute intensity across the week. These features make the Balance series suitable for people who want actionable guidance rather than raw data alone.
Amazfit’s partnership with HYROX brings additional competitive and sport-specific tools to both watches. HYROX-oriented features include bespoke training plans, race simulation modes, a Virtual Pace tool, and post-race performance breakdowns that analyze pacing, segment times, and relative rankings. These capabilities are useful for runners and multisport competitors preparing for timed events or high-intensity challenges.
From a user perspective, the Balance 3 covers daily training, recovery tracking, and lifestyle integration in a wearable that balances style and functionality. The Balance Ultra raises the bar for durability and extended battery life, making it a better choice for users who need a tougher build or longer intervals between charges. The Amazfit Balance 3 Titanium variant is slated to launch soon with a retail price of £449.90.
