SHL Radical Time Watch Face overview

It’s not broken. It’s physics. Experience time differently with a watch face designed around the Square Root function (θ = t^0.5). Unlike standard watches that tick linearly, the hands on this face follow a precise logarithmic-style curve, moving rapidly at the start of the hour and decelerating gracefully as time passes. How it Works: This is a pure mathematical instrument. The minute hand sweeps through the first 15 minutes of the hour in the same visual space it takes to cover the remaining 45 minutes. The hour hand is perfectly synchronized to match, creating a mechanical link that feels like a high-end gearbox. Features: • θ = t^0.5 Movement: Hands travel on a calculated square root curve. • Precision Markings: The dial is mathematically spaced to align 3:00 and 30 minutes exactly at the bottom (180°). • High-Vis Readability: Bright "International Orange" second hand and Cyan formula text for high contrast. • Anchored Layout: Major intervals (3, 6, 9, 12) are highlighted while minor intervals are dimmed, helping you read the non-linear scale instantly. • Battery Efficient: Pure black background optimized for OLED displays. For the Math Geeks: Strictly speaking, this is a Square Root function, not a true Logarithm (which would be undefined at zero). The hands start at t=0 with infinite initial velocity and decelerate constantly until t=1. Designed for those who view time as a variable, not a constant.
