Realme has unveiled the design for a Harry Potter–themed phone, packaging the Realme 16 Pro as a detailed Hogwarts-inspired collectible. Developed in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, this special edition combines the same core hardware of the standard Realme 16 Pro with custom cosmetic touches and an elaborate collector’s gift box. Realme will produce just 5,000 units worldwide, making this a distinctly limited release aimed at fans and collectors.
The Hogwarts-Inspired Design
The special edition phone features a brown finish with a leather-like texture and an Argyle pattern that evokes the Wizard’s Chess scene from the films. A discreet Hogwarts crest adorns the back panel, while the camera module has been reimagined to resemble the bright, expressive eyes of Hedwig the owl. The metal frame is laser-engraved with the phrase “Welcome to Hogwarts,” adding a tactile, premium touch that reinforces the collectible nature of the device.
Realme previously teased elements of this design earlier in the month, including accessories like a matching pair of Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition earbuds finished in complementary brown and gold hues. Those teasers hinted at a cohesive visual theme that carries across the phone and its bundled accessories.
Beneath the themed exterior, the phone retains the Realme 16 Pro’s established hardware: a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 200-megapixel main camera, and a large 7,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging. These specifications deliver a solid performance and battery life for everyday use, while the themed styling aims squarely at Harry Potter fans who value collectible aesthetics as much as hardware capability.
What Comes in the Gift Box
The limited-edition package is designed to resemble a 1:1 replica of Harry’s Hogwarts trunk, and it includes a selection of themed items that enhance the unboxing experience. Inside the trunk-style box buyers will find a Hogwarts acceptance letter, a train ticket, house crest bookmarks, and character postcards. The package also includes a phone case embossed with the Hogwarts logo and a themed phone pin, all created to complement the phone’s finish and presentation. The full kit is intended to feel like a curated set of memorabilia rather than just a standard retail phone box.
Realme plans to showcase the complete experience at a pop-up launch event on September 21, where attendees can see the design and box in person. The company confirmed that the lineup will launch in India, but broader pricing and global availability have not yet been announced. Given the limited production run and the collectible nature of the edition, availability is expected to be constrained and demand could outstrip supply.
This is not Realme’s first venture into fandom-oriented special editions. Last year the company released a Game of Thrones–themed Realme 15 Pro, which featured a heat-sensitive back panel and a dragon-egg-inspired gift box. Collector editions like these typically sell quickly among enthusiast communities, and the combination of recognizable intellectual property, distinctive packaging, and a limited quantity often drives fast sell-outs even before official pricing is confirmed.
For shoppers and collectors, this Harry Potter Edition represents a blend of practical smartphone features and fan-focused design.
